Exploring The Emotional & Psychological Aspects of A Domination Session Through A Visual Medium
One of the facets of female domination that I find particularly arousing is the psychological and emotional aspect of the relationship between a Mistress & slave. Queen & pawn. The one to one eye contact, the flow of energy, the exhilarating power exchange, the intensity and charged atmosphere of the session. These are all areas that are, at best, difficult and often impossible to try and capture or convey within the current genre of femdom movies.

In attempting to try and overcome this problem I have been experimenting with alternative kinds of film making. This is how The English Mistress series of Videos/DVD’s came into being. These films capture real-life, real-time domination sessions. They are filmed in black and white, some sections with a drop-frame effect which gives them a dream like quality ~ ‘that you have but slumber’d here, while these visions did appear’. Filming without colour draws the viewer into the action and enhances the sensual texture of many of the implements and costumes of SM play and especially leather.
